About Us

Golden California is a group of artists, entrepreneurs, activists, and fellow California Citizens.  Our aim is to help California achieve her potential.  Our values are what we call Green Populism.  This is populism in its California context:  traditional values, a belief that economics should benefit the California middle classes, and an innate appreciation for California’s sublime environmental beauty.

In the current phase of our work we are drafting Vision Plans centered on Green Populist values for the local, regional, and statewide levels.  While other organizations have made Vision Plans in the past, we are the first in recent decades to have built them with the interests of the California People at their center, rather than big business or consumer constituencies.  These Visions are intended to be inspiring, realistic, and achievable.  Californians are not merely dreamers, we are doers.

In future stages, we will create roadmaps and toolkits for engaged California Citizens to use to help make the Visions reality, and will connect state and local institutions and fellow citizens with those resources.

Positive visions grow civilization.  95% of the time it is better for an organization to stand for things rather than against them.  However, Political Correctness has over the past two decades prevented many organizations from serving the interests and values of the California People.  We therefore choose to be clear on this point: we have sworn an oath to oppose Political Correctness.  We shall do so in a respectful manner that moves the cultural dialogue forward and encourage our fellow California Citizens to do the same.
